  • The Palace of the Central University Library is a construction in French neoclassical style, built in two distinct stages, between 1891 and 1895, respectively in 1914.

Its facade, designed by the architect Paul Gottereau, stretches for a length of 53 meters. On this facade, the names of distinguished people of culture and art from Romanian history are carved in marble, including Miron Costin, Gheorghe Șincai, Dimitrie Cantemir, the metropolitan of Dosoftei, Grigore Alexandrescu and Nicolae Grigorescu.

On the ground floor, the building houses a conference amphitheater with a capacity of 500 seats, as well as reading rooms. Upstairs is the library, along with reading rooms. The collection of the Central University Library includes over two million volumes.
