The cliffs of Zărnești are carved into impressive rock walls that stretch for 4 km and have a grand appearance, with vertical or inclined walls reaching over 200 meters in some areas.

Temperatures in this area are lower as the sun barely penetrates the quays, only for a few hours a day, creating a perfect place to relax in the cool of summer.

The gorge can be accessed from the villages of Zărnești and Peștera. Next to the quay is the Curmătura cabin, which serves as the main starting point for the trails in Piatra Craiului.

Visitors will be delighted by the gorge's natural attractions, such as the caves (Peștera Mare and Peștera Mică din Prăpăstii) and the springs Fântâna lui Botorog and Fântânile Domnilor. The walls surrounding the valley are between 100 and 200 meters high. The road through the Precipices of Zărneşti impresses with its spectacular rock walls, which offer many alpine routes.

If you follow the route through the gorge, you will reach "La Table", a starting point towards the Pietra Craiului ridge.
