The Măgura Hill Limestones are a protected area of national importance, classified as Category IV by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), i.e. a mixed nature reserve. It is located in the southern part of the Metalliferi Mountains, in Hunedoara County, on the administrative territory of the Băița commune.

The reserve, which covers an area of 120 hectares, is of particular value in terms of landscape, karst forms, as well as floristic and faunal values. The area contains karst formations such as caves and sinkholes, in which numerous traces of human habitation from the Paleolithic period have been discovered. The vegetation specific to the cliffs contains many rare species of heat-loving plants.
