The bust of the actor Ioan Brezeanu was created in bronze by the sculptor D. Paciurea in a gesture of homage to the actor, who became an honorary citizen of the city.
Iancu (Ion) Brezeanu (1868-1941), known for his perfect interpretation of the role of "Tortured citizen" in "A lost letter", was an actor at the National Theatre. He was employed at the National Theater in 1888, at the time when Caragiale was director of the institution.
