The Constanța art museum houses numerous works that reproduce the beauty of the landscapes of Dobrogean. Configured as a modern and contemporary art gallery, the museum allows the exploration of key moments in the evolution of Romanian visual arts, illustrated by significant works by artists from the second half of the 19th century to the present. Within the classical painting collection, the works of Theodor Aman, Nicolae Grigorescu, Ion Andreescu, Ștefan Luchian, Theodor Pallady, Gheorghe Petrescu and Nicolae Tonitza are noteworthy; these works are inspired by Dobrogean realities. Fascinated by the landscape of Dobrogea, Ștefan Dimitrescu, Iosif Iser, Francisc Șirato, Nicolae Darăscu, Jean Al. Steriadi and other interwar artists contributed to the diversification of Romanian painting, addressing various themes that reflect aspects of the life of the inhabitants of Dobrogea.

In other rooms, works by contemporary artists such as Dumitru Ghiață, Marius Bunescu, Henri Catargi, Alexandru Ciucurencu, Ion Vlăsceanu, Ion Gheorghiu, Brăduț Covaliu, Spiru Chintilă, Petre Achiței, Vasile Grigoraș and others are exhibited.

Sculpture is represented in the museum by creations of Karl Storck, Ion Georgescu, Ștefan Ionescu-Valbudea and Dimitrie Paciurea, with a stronger emphasis on interwar sculpture: works by Ion Jalea, Cornel Medrea, Gheorghe Anghel, Oscar Han, Ion Irimescu, Boris Caragea and Vida Gheza. Works signed by contemporary artists such as Ovidiu Maitec, Gheorghe Apostu, Lelia Zuaf and others are also exhibited.

The museum also houses a rich collection of sketches and engravings made by contemporary graphic artists, including Marcel Chirnoagă, Jules Perahim, Mariana Petrașcu, Vasile Kazar, Simona Vasiliu, Ethel Lucaci-Băiaș and others.
